“Out of the Void”

24 x 30 Mixed Media

Artwork Description: An effective artwork description combines essential technical details (title, medium, dimensions) with a narrative that explains the inspiration, technique, and emotional intent behind the piece. It serves to engage viewers, aid in sales, and provide context for exhibitions. A strong description brings the piece to life, helping viewers understand the texture, color, and story, even if viewing it online.

“The Edge of Becoming”

Artwork Description: This is a very personal piece that I painted in commemoration of my decision to dedicate myself to creating artwork and sharing it with the world. To stop listening to the well-meaning voices around me and instead follow my own light into the unknown.
The landscape was painted in acrylic, but the winged maiden was painted in oil. It felt especially empowering to use oils, a brand-new medium for me at the time, in tandem with my medium of comfort to tell a story of setting off on an adventure.
I hope that this illustration on canvas will one day fill someone else with the desire to take that first step toward their dream. Perhaps it might remind another brave soul of the moment they once faced the edge of their own becoming. EMAIL: kim@kimberleela.com

“Year of the Fire Horse”

12 x 12 Mixed Media $200

12 x 12 Mixed Media $200

Artwork Description: At some point or another, we find ourselves lost with no idea where to go. This was an experimental piece that flowed through me when I was stuck in my own void. This is the image that came to mind as I was breaking free from an old, chaotic past into a completely new, mysterious future.

I combined collage, gel mediums, and an identity theft protection ink roller with my medium of comfort, acrylic paint, to create this piece.  EMAIL: kim@kimberleela.com
