24 x 18 Pastel

Artwork Description: Part of series exploring Fairy Tales from a different perspective. ”Mary’s Lamb” is an attempt to paint a different version of Mary. Children who are albino, have beautiful purple and pink tints to their eyes/irises. Just like some sheep. In the 3rd (and somewhat unknown) verse, the children (who apparently were cruel to Mary for some reason), asked the teacher why that lamb would follow her to school, and the teacher said, “because she loves it so.

HONORABLE MENTION 2D ART

Artwork Description: Part of series exploring Fairy Tales from a different perspective. In times of Fairy Tales, gardeners might grow gardens with certain flowers to protest or support different events, wars, etc. If Mary was born today, given environmental issues, might she be so brave or forward thinking to plant her garden at the bottom of the ocean?
