2ND PLACE 2D ART

Art Description: I grew up on the internet and have always had a love of really artistic photography people would post and seeing the different ideas - I have a bunch of my favorite photos saved since I was young and I realized that I could draw something just like them - which gave me a fresh look into composition and having fun with art. I also liked referencing some of my favorite albums and artist as well

Art Description: I live in the Mojave Desert and I hate camping. I got a new job as a graphic artist at a shop and this is one of my first designs I did. They wanted a camper with a desert and came up with some designs. They ended up going with  Ai, but it showed me the ropes of my new job and it was also cool to draw a scene I have never personally experienced.

Art Description: On my 21st birthday in the summer many people kept making comments that your 21st is basically your last birthday you celebrate until your 50th. I have always celebrated my birthday as something big as I've had many times where I've been reminded that life is precious and short. I gotta remind myself that even when I feel like a fish out of water in the crosshairs of busyness - just gotta appreciate the moments.

Art Description: Laughlin NV borders my home town and my parents both worked in the casino scene meaning I've been to Vegas many times as well. I find casinos nostalgic as weird as it can sound, and I've always had a somewhat soft spot for Laughlin as it's like a tiny Vegas. I turned 21 in 2024 giving me more to explore in the casino which was somewhat cathartic, the buildings became something new.

Art Description: This year, 2026, is the route 66th 100th anniversary since it was established - which reminded me of how connected we all are. This road near me that was created to connect the west together - that still is used to this day - has existed for 100 years reminding me that someone 100 years ago has stood where I have standed before, giving me a new fresh sense of reality. Life just keeps going.
