Terri Thompson

Terri Anne Thompson is an award-winning journalist, photographer, and watercolorist whose work is rooted in storytelling and observation. Her background in journalism informs her visual art through careful composition, thoughtful design, and expressive use of color and tone. Having lived in California, Iowa, Boston, New York, Nevada, and Connecticut, Terri draws inspiration from the varied landscapes and environments she has encountered.

A former reporter and editor for U.S. News & World Report and BusinessWeek, Terri spent 25 years teaching business journalism at Columbia University. She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University and continues her artistic studies in watercolor and landscape painting. Certified in the Moore Method of Painting, she teaches beginner acrylic classes at City Lights Art Gallery in Henderson, Nevada. Terri is an active member of several professional journalism and art organizations.
