LVAG CALL FOR ARTISTS: “Creative Inspiration”

Open to all CURRENT LVAG Members

Our LVAG member artists have an amazing opportunity to show a personal and original piece of artwork, sponsored by The City of Las Vegas, at the gallery exhibit located in the Charleston Heights Art Center in Las Vegas.

Important details:

• Application opens on February 1, 2024, and closes on February 18, 2024. We will be notified the week of July 30th if our proposal is accepted by The City of Las Vegas with the exhibition dates.

• Hanging fees are $20 for volunteers and $40 for non-volunteers. Payment will not be expected until after June 30, 2024 from the 20 artists who were chosen for the exhibition.

• Each chosen artist will have the opportunity to display one art piece. The maximum outside framed dimension of your personal and original artwork cannot exceed 16" wide.

• The LVAG Board of Directors will select 20 artists from the pool of entries for this exhibition. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

• We will accept multiple entries for review, but only one entry per chosen artist will be submitted.

Our LVAG Board will submit a cohesive art exhibition proposal highlighting our 20 selected artist entries. The artists will be chosen by our LVAG Board from the applicants who submit a personal and original piece of art and are able to provide their best answers to Creative Inspiration, Artist Bio, Artist Statement, and Artwork Description.

•Inspiration: Mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially creative.

•Creative Inspiration: Being inspired and then motivated to produce something creatively.

In other words, how we experience the world as artists inspires us to create art.
