Honorable Judge Priscilla Fowler

Priscilla Fowler is a mixed media artist whose abstract 2D, bas-relief, and assemblage work strongly evokes natural forms. Fowler has shown in and near Las Vegas, Nevada, Denver, Colorado, and nationally, in solo, juried, and group shows. Recent exhibits include a solo at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and two-artist shows at the Lincoln Center Gallery in Fort Collins, The Dairy Art Center in Boulder, and Mai Wyn Fine Art in Denver. She was a member of Pirate Contemporary Art and Sliding Door Gallery (artist-run galleries) in Denver.

Priscilla Fowler holds a BFA, Summa Cum Laude, 2001, from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh). She lived, worked, and exhibited in Denver and along the Front Range for 15 years and in 2016 moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to be near family. In Vegas she has continued her art practice and also owns and runs Priscilla Fowler Fine Art LLC, a contemporary art gallery. Prior to becoming an artist, she worked for 30 years in the software business, most recently at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute, a think tank on software innovation and diffusion.

Juror Ginger Bruner

Musician | Band Leader | Photographer | Radio Producer | Audio Engineer Ginger Bruner is the Swiss Army knife of The Radiant City’s local arts scene, she has been a professional artist and musician since the 1980s. One of her many “talented and lovely colleagues” (as she might say), speculates that if Ginger hadn’t existed Las Vegas would have had to invent her. Like all of us, she looks forward to getting to the other side of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Juror Ashanti McGee

Ashanti McGee is an artist and arts advocate. So much of her advocacy involves providing artists opportunities through programming and networking. Most recently, Ashanti has curated work at the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art and has opened Mesa Gallery with her partner, Brent Holmes, She is part of the Leaders of Color Advisory Committee for the Western States Arts Federation and serves on the board member of Cultural Alliance Nevada, a statewide arts advocacy organization. Ashanti has lived in Las Vegas for over 25 years and enjoys spending time with her partner and four children.
